Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the thinly sliced chicken with teriyaki sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 10 minutes to absorb those robust flavors.
- In a separate bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with sliced green onions, rice vinegar, honey, and the remaining sesame oil. Toss gently to coat all the veggies in the dressing.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- Heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Fry each wonton wrapper for about 20-30 seconds on each side until they are golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assembly
- Spoon the cooked chicken into each crispy wonton wrapper, add a scoop of the vibrant slaw, and drizzle with sweet chili sauce for added flavor.
- Finish by sprinkling sesame seeds and chopped cilantro over the filled tacos to heighten the flavors and add a touch of freshness.
Notes
For extra crunch, double fry the wonton wrappers. You can experiment with additional toppings such as sliced jalapeƱos, avocado, or radishes.
