  • 1/2 cup honey Opt for pure honey for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used for stronger flavor.
  • 1 cup flour For coating chicken breasts before baking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together ketchup, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Pour some of the sauce into a 9×13 baking dish to cover the bottom.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in flour and place them in the baking dish, top side down.
  5. Spoon the remaining sauce over the chicken.
Cooking
  1. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then flip chicken pieces, baste with sauce, and bake for another 15-30 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours or overnight if possible. Basting the chicken ensures it remains juicy, while letting it rest allows the juices to redistribute.
