Preparation
- In a medium bowl, mix together ketchup, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour some of the sauce into a 9×13 baking dish to cover the bottom.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour and place them in the baking dish, top side down.
- Spoon the remaining sauce over the chicken.
Cooking
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then flip chicken pieces, baste with sauce, and bake for another 15-30 minutes until cooked through.
- Allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours or overnight if possible. Basting the chicken ensures it remains juicy, while letting it rest allows the juices to redistribute.
