Preparation
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a thin layer of pizza sauce.
- Layer the shredded mozzarella cheese, turkey pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives on top of the sauce.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up, and press gently.
Cooking
- Grill in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, let it rest for a minute, slice in half, and enjoy!
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute mozzarella with plant-based cheese and turkey pepperoni with seasoned tempeh.
