  • 500 g ground meat (beef, lamb, or chicken) Opt for lean cuts for richer flavor.
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced Choose medium starchy potatoes for ideal texture.
  • 1 large onion, chopped Sauté until golden brown.
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste Adds a rich flavor base.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds For flavor infusion.
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala To be added before serving.
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste salt
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish fresh cilantro Use freshly chopped for best aroma.
  • 2 tablespoons oil For frying.
  • Water as needed water Use enough to cover the mixture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  5. Mix in the ground meat, cooking until browned evenly.
  6. Add diced potatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Stir well.
  7. Pour in enough water to cover the mixture and bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with cilantro before serving.

Notes

Stir occasionally while cooking to prevent sticking. Consider adding peas or carrots for extra nutrition.
