Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked al dente Ensure it’s cooked just to al dente for the best texture.
  • 5 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated and divided Opt for sharp cheddar for an intense depth of flavor.
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk Gives a rich and creamy base.
  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 0.25 cup melted butter Melted butter is a must for blending smoothly.
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 dash paprika

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by spraying a 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray to prevent the mac and cheese from sticking.
  2. In the slow cooker, combine the cooked macaroni, evaporated milk, whole milk, melted butter, salt, pepper, beaten eggs, and 4.5 cups of the grated cheese. Stir it all together until the pasta is evenly coated and all ingredients are well mixed.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cups of cheese on top, followed by a dash of paprika for added flavor.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours and 15 minutes, until the cheese has melted beautifully and is bubbly.
  2. Once cooked, turn off the heat, give it a gentle stir, and serve while it’s hot and decadent.

Notes

For best results, stir only until just mixed to maintain a hearty texture of the macaroni. Monitor cooking time, as some slow cookers may vary in heat intensity.
